Session Times & Fees

We offer competitive fees for the outstanding facilities and teaching programmes offered. There are too many scenarios of session times, frequency and dates, with and without 20 Hours ECE to be all put on our website. Therefore, we ask you to contact us for a quote for your specific requirements.

As a guideline:

Session Times

  • Our opening hours are from 8.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
  • Our morning session runs from 8.00am or 8.30am to 12.30pm and includes morning tea and lunch.
  • Afternoon sessions are from 12.30pm to 4.30pm or 5.30pm and include afternoon tea.
  • Full days are 8.00am to 5.30pm (or shorter a minimum of 7 hours) and include all meals.
  • Meals are for over 1’s only.
  • A session is a minimum of 4 hours and a full day is a minimum of 7 hours.
  • A minimum booking of three sessions or two full days per week will be expected in order that your child gains maximum benefit from the programme. It also helps your child to settle and feel part of Minerva House.

Fees

  • Individual sessions are between $39.30 (short afternoon) and $44.50 (long morning).
  • Full days are between $59.00 and $66.00. Discount is offered for 5 full days per week.
  • Full week is between $274.50 and $307.00.

20 Hours ECE for 3-5 year olds

  • Minerva House Preschool provides education and care at a higher level than required by the Ministry of Education. This includes the provision of meals, higher teacher/child ratios, improved learning experiences especially in the areas of music, drama and motor skill development, significantly more activity space per child than required by legislation by having a separate multi-purpose room and kitchen/dining area upstairs and considerable teaching aids resources. The funding received for 20 Hours ECE hours is not sufficient to cover all these additional services. 20 Hours ECE at Minerva House Preschool is only viable if parents contribute towards the cost of providing services beyond the minimum level required by regulations. Therefore we ask for an optional charge for 20 Hours ECE received at Minerva House.
  • Full days which include 6 hours of 20 Hours ECE are $33.00 – 39.30 (includes fees and optional charges).
  • Full week including full 20 Hours ECE are about $168.00 – 190.00 (includes fees and optional charges).

Subsidies:

  • Families may be entitled to a child-care subsidy from Work & Income New Zealand (WINZ). For further information please contact us or visit www.workingforfamilies.govt.nz

Fees during Absence and Public Holidays:

  • No fees are payable during the annual closure over Christmas (usually 2 weeks).
  • Full fees are payable at any other time of the year (Monday to Friday) including public holidays and when children are not attending for any reason.
